Corrections
How factual errors are reported, reviewed, and noted.
Last updated: August 5, 2026
This page is a working draft prepared for attorney review. It is not legal advice and has not been certified as attorney-approved unless separately stated by counsel.
Commitment
We aim to present sourced material accurately. When we confirm a significant factual error in our original writing, summaries, labels, dates, or tracker statuses, we correct it.
How to request a correction
Use the Contact page with the subject “Correction,” include the URL of the page, the statement you believe is wrong, and a link to a reliable source supporting the correction.
What we correct
- Incorrect dates, titles, document identifiers, or attribution.
- Misquoted text in our own summaries.
- Wrong tracker statuses once verified against the governing source record.
- Broken or swapped source links when reported.
What may not be a “correction”
Disagreement with editorial emphasis, selection, or tone is not by itself a factual error. Requests to remove accurate official records because they are politically inconvenient are not corrections.
Errors on third-party source sites should generally be raised with that source; we may update our reference when the original is fixed.
Public notes
Significant corrections may be logged on this page or on the item itself. Minor typographical fixes may be made without a public note.
